6" x 6" One Sheet Wonder with 'Tis The Season DSP

Image
Don't you love it when you can make the most of your beautiful Designer Series Paper?  I do!  I found this beautiful layout on Pinterest and CASE'D it from Nicole Belesimo from a few years ago.   Start out with one sheet of 6" x 6" DSP and cut it in half. Then cut each of the 3" pieces into the dimensions shown in the photo. The panels are number from left to right, top to bottom for the corresponding card.   Then cut your layering cardstock (Cherry Cobbler) into the following dimensions. Card 1: 3-1/4" x 2-1/4" (one piece) Card 2: 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" (one piece) Card 3:  2" x 5" (one piece secondary color/Garden Green) & 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" (three pieces) Card 4:  2-1/2" x 1-3/4" (two pieces) Card 5:  1-3/4" x 1-1/4" (four pieces) Card 6: 3-1/4 x 2" (one piece) Background layer: 5 pieces 4" x 5-1/4" (Garden Green) Card Bases: 3 pieces of Whisper White 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock, cut...

Gate Fun Fold with "Trimming The Town" Oct. 27, 2020 FB Live

Well there is always a hiccup with my FB lives!  Today I was on my one personal page instead of my Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends page!  Ufda!   I love this suite for several reasons.  1. The dies match some of the images on the DSP, as you'll see in the video.  2. The dies and stamps can be used all year round, not just Christmas.  3. They make a great "new home" card, and those images are hard to find.  4.  Who doesn't love the "bug" car!!!!  Adorable.  I CASE'd this card from Simone Bartrum.  Thank you Simone for the inspiration! Here's the link to the FB live video: Oct 27, Tuesdays At Ten FB Live   As promised in the video, here is a link to purchase the supplies used:  Shop Here Dimensions: Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4, inside card piece Misty Moonlight:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2, card base 3-1/2" x 2-1/4", cutting house for background piece DSP: 2 pcs 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" Supplies: Trimming the Town Suite ...

Easy Color Wash Background for gorgeous Gather Together metallic leaves

I saw a technique the other day, with alcohol markers and a window sheet that gave a beautiful watercolor background.  But for the life of me I couldn't get it to work, sadly.  It seemed to dry out too quickly for me, even when I spritzed it with the alcohol.  Changed the game plan a little bit and used one of my larger clear blocks and some shimmer paper.  If you wanted to use a larger piece of paper you could used the largest clear block F which measures 4-7/8" x 6".  In this video I used our clear block E, which measures 3-7/16" x 4-7/16". I think it turned out beautifully!  Here's a video on how I did it, if this video does not show up on your phone here is the YouTube link .  Google has changed something in Blogger and videos aren't showing up on phones like they used to. One thing I forgot in the video was die cutting the color wash piece with one of my Rectangular Stitched dies.  It does give it a more finished look.  The one sho...
