March 2020 Paper Pumpkin: “No Matter The Weather”

The March Paper Pumpkin kit could not be more adorable or more appropriate as we go through this challenging period in our lives and the world during the pandemic.

The boots are my absolute favorite in this kit.  Not sure why!  And there are adorable clear, epoxy rain drops, the sentiments are sweet and thoughtful.

I'm sure there will be all sorts of beautiful alternates on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club Facebook Page.

Here are the cards from the kit, as they were designed.

Thanks for stopping by.  I would love to see your creations with this kit on my Facebook Group Page: Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends.  Make sure you click to join.

"Pedal to the Metal" Quick & Easy Gift Card

Want a quick and easy card to hold a gift card or cash?  This card, using "Pedal to the Medal"  fits the bill (no pun intended).

Last Saturday we had our first team meeting!  So much fun! We each made a kit to share with the other team members.  My sister-in-law, Lisa, brought this card.  I love how easy this is to make.

Since my grandson's 14th birthday is coming up this week, I thought this would be great for him.  In light of the pandemic, a gift card is a great way to go.  I also made him a coupon good for dinner/lunch and a movie.

Here's a video of the card:

This is the beautiful card that Lisa brought that uses a die from our upcoming 2020-2021 Annual catalog, debuting in June! She used one o the dies and Perennial Essence DSP and Petal Pink cardstock and embellished it with Petal Pink Metallic edged ribbon. The "Happy" was created with the "Well Written" dies.

The background die is called "Ornate Layer dies" part of the "Ornate Garden Suite" and will available June 3 when the new Annual Catalog is released.  Here's a sneak peak:

With a $50 purchase including the "Pedal to the Medal" stamp set you will receive a FREE PDF of this gift card, with supplies, dimensions and instructions.

Thanks for stopping in!

Clubhouse Suite - Birthday Popup Card

Today's card features the Clubhouse Suite from the 2020 January - June Mini Catalog.  I love it when Stampin' Up!® comes out with a great masculine card set, and this one does not disappoint.  Being a "golfer" ( I use the term loosely I haven't picked up a club since my husband passed in 2008), I absolutely love this suite!!!

My late husband, Tim, and I would golf every weekend (sometimes during the week), belonged to a "country club", a very small one in the sleepy town of Sleepy Eye.  It was one thing we loved doing together.  You would find us there Saturdays, Sundays, and Friday night was league, where after a round of golf the guys would grill us steaks.  They always tasted so much better out there! Great memories!

This card is for my niece's boyfriend, Bob.  A wonderful guy who golfs, when he can sneak away from his farm work.  Farmers are some of the hardest workers I know. Get up with the cows, work the fields from dawn til dusk in heat, rain, snow, praying the weather will cooperate.

I love that when you open it up you find the golfer popup,  on another hole, with a short putt.

I sponged the background, using the glycerin technique. (see my previous post on this technique)  It gives such a smooth sponging effect.  I don't think I'll sponge without it again.

I used the trees from the Rooted In Nature stamp set and the "green" on the front was made using the lilypad die in the "Lilypad dies" set (get it FREE from the 2020 SAB catalog with a qualifying purchase).
