Hey friends! Spring has finally sprung! This past week we broke a record temp for April, 85 degrees! And yesterday during my video, it started thundering and I was just hoping that the rain would hold off until I finished my FB Live since I had all my windows open! And it did! Praise God!
This is yesterdays card, and it uses a simple masking technique. The colors I used in the card are "Pretty Peacock" (a 2019 - 2021 In Color, which is retiring), "Crumb Cake", "Garden Green" and "Just Jade" (a 2020 - 2022 In Color). The sentiment is from the "Sweet Ice Cream" stamp set. I love the HUGE "Happy Birthday" it also has a great "Thank You" about the same size.
The dies are beautiful, leaves. I like to see how they look die cut, before I buy, so here's a sample of all the dies. The little group of leaves has a die and also a mirror die that does not have a coordinating stamps, but there are techniques on how create that.
Here are other cards samples that I shared yesterday. Two of the embossing folders that I used, will be retiring and they are two of my favorites, "Subtles" and "Scripty".
Three of these are very simple cards and I love that simplicity. I also used left over pieces from other cards in the bottom two cards.
The top right cards uses the "Stitched So Sweetly" dies (and sadly is retiring) and this is one of my favorites and uses the beautiful, coordinating "Forever Greenery" DSP. A simple and quick card.
The top, left card uses the "Tasteful Textile" embossing folder as the background layer.

Hi friends, It's been a while since I posted. The last of March and April, so far, have been eventful. I had a dear uncle and cousin, both passed away on the same day. They were uncle and nephew to each other. My favorite uncle, on my mom's side, was 97 when he pass. My cousin, was 87. I am close with one of his daughters. Ironically last year at my dad's funeral I handed her a card for her birthday at my dad's funeral. This year, at her dad's funeral, she hand delivered one to me. My birthday rested between both of their funerals. So I was gone for a week for the funerals and visitations. After I got back it took me a week to recoup, due to my chronic fatigue. April has always been a busy birthday month for me. About 2 or 3 cards a week about 12 in total. This month would have also been my mother's 95th birthday, we lost her a year and a half ago. In addition, I have also been sending out cards for sympathy, 5 so far this month, all not related to the pandemic. A friend lost her father, a cousin died of cancer so cards for his two brothers and wife and a former coworker his son. I've also sent out Thinking of You cards to people who are alone and shut in and a Get Well card to a friend from church who fell and injured herself. I also just remembered I need to make a card for my grandson, marking the 1st anniversary of his baptism. Hi everyone, I know it's been a long time since I've posted. Had a lot going on in my life lately with some health issues and dealing with them has been challenging. But getting the new Holiday Catalog has so many great new products and has thankfully been a wonderful distraction. One of which is this awesome Christmas Quilt Bundle! I've been getting ready for my Catalog Launch Party this Saturday, Sept 9. My great friend, Michelle, came over last Saturday, we both needed some stamp therapy and she made a couple Christmas card with this bundle. So I decided to do a non holiday card! I have a cousin who makes beautiful quilts and runners. So this will probably be her birthday card. I did have one little tip for you. When you use the star Framelit, that does the stitching, make sure that you run this one through the Big Shot first. (I called this the Ninja Star since that what it reminds me of).
