Yesterday I turned 70!!!! Hard to wrap my mind around that one! In my mind I'm still 35. LOL Physically I feel about 90.
I was sick for a couple months this year and so I decided for my 70th birthday I wanted to do something special and throw myself a drive-by birthday party and opened it up to any of my friends and family on Facebook.
It was the best birthday I've had in years. When I turned 60 my friends threw me a birthday party at my favorite Mexican restaurant
And when I was 50, I planned a trip to Florida and my friends threw me a surprise birthday party!!! I was TOTALLY surprised by that one. I have some great friends.Yesterday I had a surprise too. My pastor showed up at my door with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my church and a card. Another friend showed up with some chocolates from Abdullah! Candy and flowers, such a deal. And I was just about to get rid of all my vases. Silly me.
I have a wonderful church family. I'm so blessed that I was lead to this church a few years ago. They are kind, loving, supportive and really feel like family.I also wanted to do something special for my friends that took the time to stop by and help me celebrate my birthday. I knew I wanted to hand out little cups of ice cream like I used to get in school (eons ago) and Walmart had them. And I wanted to give them a cupcake. So I made little gift bags for them that would hold the ice cream and the cupcake in a box.
I found a video by Jeanette Cobb from few years ago. So I CASE'd her box and updated it a bit with some of our newer tools.
