Let it Snow DSP and Embellishment = Quick and Easy Card!

The "Let it Snow" DSP (Designer's Series Paper) from the 2019 Holiday catalog is absolutely adorable!  Did you notice that it is all glitzy!  I didn't until I opened up the package today.  Missed that in the photos in the catalog and online.

There are a couple of designs that are just perfect for making a quick and easy card when paired with the "Let It Snow" embellishment kit.  Just love the tiny little mittens, scarves and hats!  There are 4 felt sheets, one in each color of Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Shaded Spruce and Real Red.

Here's a quick video on just how easy this card is.  It would be a great project to do with the kidlets!

Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box

Have you seen the Mini Curvy Keepsakes box?  They are adorable!  There are so many cute ideas on Pinterest using this dies.

Wouldn't these make cute party favors, a great idea for a craft fair item, an addition to a Christmas gift or even a tuck a tiny gift in it like jewelry?  They are so easy and quick to make.  I made a few for a Christmas Tea that I'm hosting for my team. (Sorry surprise is out!)

I didn't realize until I opened the DSP how gorgeous it was.  The catalog and online photos do not do justice to it.  You can't tell that the snowmen and trees actually have glitter on them!  I was totally surprised when I finally opened it today.  And there is a couple of sheets that lend themselves so easily to a quick card. (check out my next video)

Here's a quick video on how fast they go together and how beautiful the paper is.

I hope you will give these a try.

November 2019 Class Card: 3D Easel Calendar

Easel Calendar

Love a great idea for a gift that you can mail?  This Easel Calendar is easy to make and friends and family will love to receive them!

It takes less than one sheet of cardstock for the base and easel. The best part is it folds nicely in an A2 card envelope which fits a card 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

Click on the caption for a list of the supplies used on this gorgeous calendar!

You can find the a pdf of the instructions and list of supplies on my FB group page: Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends under the files section.

For those of us who are visual learners, here's a video for you!

The letters were cut with my ScanNCut machine since I do not have small dies only large ones.  The calendars were purchased by a friend of mine from Taylored Expressions and she kindly shared them with me on the spur of the moment.  They are fairly inexpensive.

November 2019 Class Card: Toile Christmas Cardinal

I love this card and I've shared it before, but I thought it was so beautiful I wanted to share it with my class.

I used one of our new products, Shimmery Crystal Effects on the berries.  When you squeeze it out, gently, let it pile up a bit and you can get a nice round effect, like the berries that you find on wreaths this time of year.

Make sure when using the Stampin' Blends that you use the Memento Black ink so the image doesn't bleed when you do your coloring.

For a list of the products used click on the caption under the photo.  You can find a pdf of the supplies and instructions in the files section of my FB Group page: Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends.

PS There is a glitch with my website and the Woodlands Embossing Folder used here is not coming up.  The item # is 1152881 and is $8.50

November 2019 Class Card #1: "Feels Like Frost"

Can I say I love, love, love this paper!  Living in Minnesota it won't be long before our trees and bushes will be bathed in sparkling, white snow.  As well as our roads and sidewalks, which I'm not too  excited about.  But I digress.

Feels Like Frost click on title for list of products!
This paper is absolutely beautiful. One side has these beautiful photgraphs/images and the other is silver foil.

This is a simple card, very quick and easy.  The "thanks" is from the Well Written dies and the ribbon is Seaside Metallic, one of our new In Colors.  Love it when something is easy and beautiful!

TIP:  How many of you use the broad tip on the bottle of Multipurpose Glue?  Do you even know it's there?  Well, when you have fine/narrow items to attach to your card, like the "thanks" for this one.  Put your item upside down on your silicone mat ,  take the cover off of the "bottom" of your Multipurpose glue bottle, give it a little squeeze and the dab the glue on your item.  Voila!  It's all covered, so to speak!

Fall Time, Craft Time, busy, busy, busy.

How has your fall been so far?  Mine has been busy, busy, busy, with gearing up for craft fairs and classes.  I also had a couple health issues which interfered with my stamping.  So, I have been a little remiss in updating my blog.  I have been posting things to my Facebook Group Page: Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends, but not everyone is on FB.

So my dear FB free friends this is for you.  I want to share with you what I have been up to.  So many beautiful sets in the Holiday catalog. Not enough time to play with them all but I'm trying!  Hahaha!

Here's what I've been  playing with.  If you click on the photo it will take you to a mini site and show you the items needed to make it and you can shop from right there.  Also, I am making pdfs for my classes cards and a few others, which are found in the files section of my group FB page.  Since there isn't a way for me to post them here, let me know if you are interested and I can email it to you.  Or you can click here if you have FB account and just want the pdfs and it will take you to the list of files.

Now for the fun stuff!

If you know how to load pdfs to blogspot I'd appreciate the advice.  I'd love to be able to provide these to you.

In the mean time I hope you enjoy these cards.
