Today's "Tuesday At Two" I featured two coordinating bundles! "Hey Chick" stamp set was a Sale-a-bration item a couple of years ago. Then this February/March it reappeared with another stamp set "Hey Birthday Chick" and they both had coordinating dies!!!! Did I kick myself for selling mine? Yes, but then I ordered both the bundles. LOL.
I had so much fun making today's card I finally had to say STOP! But I wanted to try to feature all of the stamps and dies in both sets. I love all the little elements in these dies, the little corn cobs and stalks, the stump, the sack of corn, the tiny, itty bitty little corn kernels and even an embossing die that cuts for straw.
The card I shared on today's "Tuesday At Two" was a fun fold that I made at a Make & Stay event with our team this weekend. The DSP I used is a retired pattern from Bird Ballad, but I love the little bird feet, so I had to use it. The stump is cut from "In Good Taste" wood grain.
I used everything except the little eggs, a sweet little bow tie andthe cute little bird which would be great for Easter this Sunday and the adorable little bird. His cute little wing even flaps out!
These are the other cards that I prepared for today's class. I CASE'd all of them except the one I made in class today. That is all my own, for better or worse.
Yesterday I turned 70!!!! Hard to wrap my mind around that one! In my mind I'm still 35. LOL Physically I feel about 90.
I was sick for a couple months this year and so I decided for my 70th birthday I wanted to do something special and throw myself a drive-by birthday party and opened it up to any of my friends and family on Facebook.
It was the best birthday I've had in years. When I turned 60 my friends threw me a birthday party at my favorite Mexican restaurant
And when I was 50, I planned a trip to Florida and my friends threw me a surprise birthday party!!! I was TOTALLY surprised by that one. I have some great friends.
Yesterday I had a surprise too. My pastor showed up at my door with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my church and a card. Another friend showed up with some chocolates from Abdullah! Candy and flowers, such a deal. And I was just about to get rid of all my vases. Silly me.
I have a wonderful church family. I'm so blessed that I was lead to this church a few years ago. They are kind, loving, supportive and really feel like family.
I also wanted to do something special for my friends that took the time to stop by and help me celebrate my birthday. I knew I wanted to hand out little cups of ice cream like I used to get in school (eons ago) and Walmart had them. And I wanted to give them a cupcake. So I made little gift bags for them that would hold the ice cream and the cupcake in a box.
These are the boxes and bags that I handed out.
I found a video by Jeanette Cobb from few years ago. So I CASE'd her box and updated it a bit with some of our newer tools.
