Sealed with Love - Happy Valentines

Found this cute card on Pinterest so CASE'd it from Susan Stamps.  One of the reasons I chose it is that it looked like a quick card for my Stamp-A-Stack class, and it used a few pieces from one of my favorite stamp sets from the 2017 Occasions catalog - Sending Love.

I added a couple of things, the little heart and rhinestone next to the sentiment.  Once you have all the pieces cut out it goes together very quickly.

Here are the pieces you will need:

Basic Black cardstock:  1 pc. 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4", 1 pc. 2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
Real Red: 1 pc.  5-1/4" x 4", 1 pc. 2-1/2" x 2-1/2, 1 pc. 5-1/4" x 1-3/4"
Whisper White: 1 pc. 5" x 3-3/4", 1 pc. 2-1/4" x 2-1/4"
DSP: 1 pc 3-3/4" x 3/4"

I also cut a third piece of Whisper White for the inside that is 5-1/4" x 4" and another strip of the same DSP 4" x 1/2", this is optional.  I just think it gives it little extra on the inside.

Birthday Bright Kit

Looking for a fun activity to break up these long, cold, winter days and have some fun with your friends! I have the perfect idea. not a lot of prep, except to invite your besties over, maybe make a few snacks, I bring the rest. (Local area only please, at least until I get my own motorhome!)

New Watercolor Pencils and Tasty Trucks

Hi!  Hope you've had a chance to take a look at the new Occasions and Sale-A-Brations catalogs!  They are phenomenal!  So many gorgeous things to choose from.  My initial wish list was over $400!  So, not being independently wealthy I had to pare it down a bit.

One of my new favorite items are the Watercolor Pencils in 13 beautiful colors.  They are awesome, so easy to work with. You will want these in your arsenal of Stampin' Up tools.  You can color with them and leave it as it is, or you can watercolor with them, using our wonderful Aqua Painters.  I tried it a few ways on three types of paper; Watercolor, Shimmer paper and Whisper White cardstock. 

Watercolor paper really gives your project that artistic watercolor look.  The Shimmer paper is a little more water resistant and the Whisper White paper works also, but it may leave your paper a little bowed.  Make sure that when water coloring you use the Black Archival ink.

If you just want to get your "color on", we also have some Inside the Lines DSP from the Sale-A-Brations catalog that you can get free with a $50 order from Occasions catalog. Just the thing for those whose are into the new adult coloring trend.

Pocket Card Set from Sale-A-Bration catalog

Don't you just love getting free stuff?  I know I do, especially when I would have purchased the qualifying item anyway.  And there are so many wonderful things in the 2017 Occasions catalog.  Honestly, it was hard for me to keep in my budget.  Luckily the catalog goes through Mar 31 so I can get a little at a time!

Sealed with Love - Just a Note

Happy New Year! a few days late.  Well now that Christmas is behind us, sniff, sniff the next "holiday" we prepare for is Valentines! Yes, the candy is already on the shelves. 

In our Occasions catalog that just came out yesterday they have this beautiful bundle called "Sealed with Love".  I think this bundle is just fabulous!  In the die cut package there are these cute little envelopes!  I'm just fascinated with them, they are so adorable.  Plus there are so many other cute dies, so many options!  And the stamp set is fantastic too!  Just love all the little stamps.  I'm sure we will be making one or two cards from this set in this month's classes. 

I also bought the paper stack!  Such adorable papers, Valentine pattern on one side of each paper and the other side has a pattern that you can use all year long. These are all part of the Sending Love Product Suites.  I just love how they have everything that matches all together.  All that's left is to add your imagination! The possibilities are endless!

I also used one of my doilies. Isn't it required in a handmade valentine that you use a doily?  Just kidding.  Though now that I think of it, it seems to me that Valentines were probably the most hand made cards.  We all made them as kids in class for our parents or "sweethearts".

When I die cut the foil heart, I snipped out the center, so one heart part has the arrow through it and the center heart I snipped out I put above one of the envelopes.  I love the arrows too! 

So time to make some more!  I don't have a sweetheart, my husband passed almost 9 years ago but I do make Valentines for each of my grandsons, my mom, my one remaining uncle and a cousin who has also lost her husband.
