Word Shadow Layer with my ScanNCut

Image
I'm in the middle of putting together a scrapbook for my oldest grandson.  One of the things I wanted to add was a background layer to some text.  I knew I had seen it somewhere on YouTube a while ago.  I searched for literally hours this morning and could not find what I was looking for, so when I discovered how to do it with my ScanNCut CM50, and it was remarkably easy, I thought I would put together this video to save other some time. Here is how it's done: https://youtu.be/TqxBYTepY9c I hope this is helpful to you!  Now....back to scrapbooking! Have a great day! Sharon

What to Expect At Paper Pumpkin & Pie Classes.

Image
A brief slide show of what to expect when you attend my Paper Pumpkin & Pie classes. If you are interested in stepping up your cards I also have a video on that: I hope you will join me.  I look forward to meeting some new friends and stamping cards with you whether it's in person or via Zoom (for my far away friends & family) Don't worry, I will try to make this fun for you and something you will put on your calendar and look forward to. When I lived in my townhouse I had full blown classes where I would prepare kits for each of the participants, that were custom made cards.  I truly miss getting together with those ladies and having fun chatting, catching up and learning new tips on stamping. With my health challenges in the last few years and yes I'm getting older too (LOL), it's an easier way for me to get back into stamping with less prep work and to get new people introduced to card making.  I find when I am making card by myself, time just flies by....

Father's Day Cards

Image
The kit for May is "Mountain Majesties". This will be our debut kit for our Paper Pumpkin & Pie classes.  It's a great kit for Father's Day with a mountain theme.  I was going to do a Facebook Live yesterday as an overview for my Paper Pumpkin and Pie classes, debuting May 20th. I wasn't feeling well so I had to cancel the live stream, which also made me feel badly.  😞 So this morning I did a video giving a glimpse of what you can expect in the classes.  Since you won't be able to interact with me, I would love to answer any questions you may have.   There's an additional video tacked on the end of this video showing the add-ons.   Here's the downlow on the May 2025  "Majestic Mountains" Kit. (Register for classes by Mat 9) This is what you can expect to find in the kit: If you want to step up your cards add this set of coordinating dies to your Stampin' Up!© order                   ...

Step Up Your Paper Pumpkin Kits

Image
Want to know a great way to step up your Paper Pumpkin kit? Or maybe you want to extend your kit, by using parts or stamps from the kit to make more cards.  A great way is to purchase the add-ons.  These come out every three month, and you don't need a Paper Pumpkin subscription to purchase them, just add them to your regular Stampin' Up!© order.   The add-on's coordinate with three consecutive Paper Pumpkin kits i.e.: January, February & March. They are "while supplies last".    Check out this video on how to purchase yours: Make sure to subscribe to get all my updates.  Follow me on Facebook at Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends.  If you don't have a Stampin' Up!© demonstrator and you live in the US I'd love to be yours.   I'd love to hear from you.   Thank you for stopping by! Sympathy Card for friends

Image
This past week another friend of mine lost her father.  This family is special because our kids grew up together.  Our daughters were the same age and so were my son and her oldest son.  We had moved into this new neighborhood and it was a great place to raise my kids.  I even have a photo of our kids, from the school newspaper, walking into school together their first grade.  I'll show this photo later in the post. This card was made from retiring stamp sets, Forever Fern, Daisy Delight and Heal Your Heart, and the coordinating dies Forever Flourishing and the medium Daisy Punch and also the Layering Oval dies. I know you probably don't have all of these in your stash, but think of this as a jumping off point of inspiration.  I CASE'D this card from Sharon Davern.   I also stamped on the envelope.  The colors I used are Flirty Flamingo, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive & Garden Green. I also added some gems, that were clear and colored th...

Storing your Paper Pumpkin Stamps & bit

Image
How do you store your stamps and left over bits from your Paper Pumpkin kits?  Some people keep them in the original box. But if you don't have enough space to store the boxes, this method might work for you.  I store mine in the DVD style storage cases that are available in our online store. They are just like the cases that our stamps come in.  I'll walk you through the steps in this video: This is what the cases look like and you get 4 in a package when you order one unit. Product detail, Item #119105 Need more storage for your clear-mount, cling, and photopolymer stamps? These cases are sized to fit in most existing shelves. * 4 cases * 7-1/2” x 5-1/4” x 5/8” (19 x 13.3 x 1.6 cm) Check out my other videos on YouTube.   If you don't have a demonstrator I would be honored to be selected by you.  I also show you how to select a demonstrator, if you don't have one. Thank you taking the time to spend with me! Images: Stampin' Up!© 1990 - Current
