A couple of days ago I decided to make an Instruction Sheet in PDF form for the interactive Pop Out Card that I posted a couple of days ago.   Today I decided to use that template with the new "Jar of Joy" stamp set and jar punch that I just got in the mail.  One of the reasons that I bought this is, well two reasons; one it is cute! and the other is that this punch and stamp set coordinate with the "Sweetest Jar" stamp set in the 2025-2026 Annual Stampin' Up!© catalog. Here's the video on how to make this card:   "The card base is 4-1/4' x 5-1/2', the real red layer is 4-1/8" x 5-1/4". The Pecan Pie layer is 3" x 4".   A couple of days ago I posted a birthday card for my grandson on my Facebook group page.  I had seen this cute pop out card for the inside.  Unfortunately, after 5 hours of trying to adapt it to my card, I found out that it only worked for a card that was cut 4-1/4" x 11".  Mine was cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" I still wanted to share with you this cute pop out card and incorporate it with the Coneflower stamp bundle. The coneflower bundle has two dies for the flower.  One embosses and cuts, this die does not coordinate easily with the stamp. To make it a fuller flower, cut two of these and adhere them together. The other die has two flowers connected together so the top one flips up.   You'll see what I mean in the video.  This die does coordinate with the stamp.  How you decide to do it is up to you.  You can leave the inside blank or stamp either the top or the bottom, once it is flipped open.     Front       In...

 A few years ago a friend suggested making a gift box for hand lotions.  I couldn't find how to make one, like the image she sent me, but I did find this one and I think I like it better.  It fits the tube so nicely.  I also made three different sizes.  One for 2 oz., (sample/travel sizes), 4 oz. and 8 oz., like they sell at Bath & Body Works.  Here's the video that I made a few years ago, on how to create this bag.   Sample sizes of the gift bags, from small to large: 2 oz., 4 oz. and 8 oz.  I would recommend using a heavier Designer Series Paper (pattern paper).  The flowers are die cut from colored vellum (or you could color the back of plain vellum).  Anyone who places an order for $50 or more, from me, (before taxes & shipping) will get the kit to make the 8 oz. size .   I hope you enjoy this video.  Please like, share and comment to make sure that my blogs show up in your mail or feed.  Images:...

For the last 15 years I have been making these Mini CD Jewel case calendars.  These are the designs for this year.   For me coming up with designs are the most difficult part.  Sometimes ideas come to me in the middle of the night and everything goes smoothly, then sometimes it takes me forever to come up with a design.  This year I had the December design in my head before I even started January.                         For the first time I kept track of the amount of time and the supply costs. I always knew that if I charged my customers the labor involved no on would want to purchase my calendars, even if I used minimum wage as the labor cost.  Just the coloring along for October took me 8 hours.  Uffda!!!  I've been working on my 2026 Mini CD calendars the last few weeks.  When I did my October calendars, the images were simple but had a lot of detail, which required a lot of coloring with my watercolor pencils, blender pens and Stampin' Blends. For the first time I've been keeping track of the number of hours I spend making each month. October took at least 8 hours of coloring 50 calendar pages.  November is a simple design, not so much coloring but I wanted to make it simpler and more cost effective.  I had used up one of my new Stampin' Blends on October.  So this morning as I was laying in bed thinking about my design I wanted to try something new.  I have used glycerin with sponging with sponges before but never tried them with my Blender Brushes.  I wondered what would happen if I used glycerin with re-nkers and a blender pen. I recently listed my Mini CD Easel calendar template and the cases on Etsy. One of my customers wanted to know my recommendation on how to color them other than just stamping.  For me, because I make a larger quantity to sell, I prefer to just stamp as much as I can, because the process is time consuming when I do so many.  I have in the past have done some coloring, and die cutting, and embossing (both heat and dry - with embossing folders).  So Kathie, this video is for you.  I hope it answers some questions for you.
